Thanks and Good Bye

In May of 2011 I started Carloves.com. I had hoped that the site would attract a large audience of car enthusiasts and be a vehicle (no pun intended) for me to express my opinions about my biggest passion – cars.

While the second part came true, the first part didn’t. The site never attracted much of a following. My twitter account that supports this site on the other hand has had good traction so I’ll keep it alive.

I’ve decided to open a site dedicated to my new Porsche 911 called lovemyporsche.com – and I’ll update that site regularly with Porsche-only news. The MyCarLoves Twitter feed will continue to be a place to find both Porsche and other car news.

Thanks to everyone who visited this site regularly. I appreciate your support and hope you enjoyed the content. Good bye for now.

CarLoves.com Project Truck Part II

On June 4, I posted about the new CarLoves.com Project Truck. We’ve made great progress since then. Here’s a complete list of the mods so far:

The program for the SuperChip just came in. This truck is so new they didn’t have a profile for it until today. We’ll program the chip for performance, and will also install the lower grille which has been ordered, but won’t arrive until next week. The new amp and speakers for the truck’s audio system still need to be tuned and that’s scheduled for today.

In the next round, we’ll de-badge (at least partially) cover the rear tailgate Ford logo with Line-X, add a custom black, lockable fuel-door, compressor, air horn, side fender flares w/flaps (Line-Xd of course) and then take a breath to see where we’re at.
